MAKE TRANSITION  (FROM SCHOOL TO UNIVERSITY)

During my final golden year at Gombak, I spent most of the time studying with my batchmates together. Everything was given by my passionate teachers and to be precised they literally spoonfed us. But then, when I entered this university life, everything is different. The lecturer wont simply help us if we dont put any effort. University life really teaches me to be a hard working person instead of being the lazy one. The lecturer wont put much attempt on us. It may takes some time for me to adapt with the new environment. Nevertheless, I will try my best to be the better version of myself for sake of my future and by that I can make everyone proud of me.

zanthrons, one for all, all for one.

I think I am going to stress on the difference between school and university again although it seems pretty obvious. Firstly, do we ever realize, during our highschool times, we simply wished to be an adult without thinking about the prons and cons. Little do we know, living as an adult is harder than we ever thought. As we entered this university life, we'll be treated as an adult. We have to make our own decisions and think maturely. Unlike highschool times, parents and teachers will help us through out everything to ensure everything will be alright at the end. Also, we dont have to be that independent, because we know, there are always someone there for us to rely on. Living under the same roof with parents always make thing more easier than it is. I am feeling a little grateful because this cmco (conditional movement control order) had us, the new students to study thru online platforms such as googleclassroom, googlemeet and many more, Next, being a highschool student doesn't require much energy because our parents and teachers will always remind us to do our task/assignment/tutorials or even to be there to guide us even if we dont ask them to. Far from being a college student, there'll always due date to catch on. The lecture are usually helpful and open to help the student, if we have the effort to do so. Also, they wont simply remind us to submit the task given. It is our responsible to remember all those thing. Lastly, what I've been noticing is, during highschool our attendence is compulsory. Believe it or not, I once tried to escape a class. Luck was not on my side. The teacher managed to find me then because she wanted me to be there in her class. In this case, I am not saying the lecturer does not care for their college student. They are truly are. It is just for them, we are a grown up college student. We can think which one is good or bad for us. In addition, attendence usually also get taken during lectures/ tutorials, It is just simply they wont put much try to ensure we get into the class, because we are an adult for now. As simple as that.

CHARACTERISTICS OF SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS

Back then in my boarding school, there is one guy who got 11As+ for spm. surprisingly he's from islamic pure science. Which means he took 11 subjects. From my perspective of view, all I can conclude that, he managed his time well. Other than that, he was the head of facilitator, surely he got many things to do. For example like, organising the class for the whole batch everyday and helping the teachers during pdpc. Also, on the evening, he used to get ready earlier after school and went to class to help his other friends. I think in order to be a successful student, we need to help one another, we cannot be selfish with ourselves and to ensure there will be no one who will left behind. There is one quote that I like, " if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together '' Also, I noticed that he always respect his teachers. He always gives salam and smile to them whenever they bump into one another. Due to that I think he is blessed by the teachers around him with his good behaviour. When other people are happy with us, surely they will pray for us, especially for our happiness and success.

USING LEARNING STYLE TO ENHANCE PERFORMANCE

During my highschool times, my dedicated counselor always giving us exposure  about learning style because it is important to know. If we dont pay attention to it, we might get confused during our study times or maybe it will become harder.

From my observation, when I study or doing revision, I like to visualise thing because it makes me effortless to memorise and somehow it made me enjoyed the process of learning and it makes me wont easily giveup. Also I am one of those who likes to stroll around whenever I read books (ie history book) that appeared to be hard for me to remember or need more attempt to memorize. Frankly speaking, I cannot really focus whenever I simply listen to audio because after some time, myself will get distracted. Dont get me wrong, I mean the audio as in the lecture. There are some people who cannot get themselves by hearing to lecture but they need to enjoy some melody during their study/revision times. It boosts my mood even more and makes me enjoy the activities. For me,
everyone have their own perspective of view. It is us who determines which one is fine and acceptable for us.
