SETTING GOALS FOR THE NEW SEMESTER
After a period of time since the spm result got announced, I dont really care about the university I'll be going to further my studies. I put all my trust to my mother to apply the UPU. While waiting for the UPU form to be closed, a bunch of people in my batch back then, shared their applied course they were interested in. Some of them were eligible to apply for scholarships. Most of them applied foundation in UITM/UIA/UM. I was kinda miserable because I wanted to be with them badly but my result was not good enough. I did not tell anyone about this because deep down, I feel regret for not studying well. Actually I did, but maybe there is not my rezeki yet. Worry not, I am infinitely blessed because I am able to pursue my studies here, in UITM. Although none of my close friends chase their dreams in diploma, I am still feeling blissful because I get the opportunity to. Eventually, before I registered as one of the student , I have been dreaming to be one of those excellent student like getting the 4-flat/being a dean list, all the sem. I know it is extremely hard, but when there's a will, there will always a way. Not to be forgotten, the pandemic in our country getting worse and it made the physical registration got postponed and we have to do the ODL (online distance learning). It is sucks at first since i am a freshman but, as you can see, time will make people learn. Therefore, since I might spend my part 1 at home with my family, I have jot down my setting goals to confirm that my studies journey will go smoothly.
- I will not be a procrastinator : I did being a good procrastinator back then, unfortunately, I terribly failed because I am not a fast learner. I realized I need to put a lot of attempt to catch up something I learn. Thus, if I am not being a procrastinator, I am sure that all the assignments, tutorials will be done perfectly and with that I can help my classmates to do their tasks.
- I will do my revision regulary: Considering I am a forgetful person, I have to revise about the lectures right after class or anytime soon, so I can guarantee myself that I understand the topics/subject. When we understand the topics/subjects, we tend to memorise the facts/the formulaes easier. Back then, my teacher said, when we teach others/ they ask for our help regarding the tasks, later it will be easier for us to learn it back or maybe He will show us the path like, we dont have to study it again because we simply remember.
- I will do a daily planner: Owing to the fact Im the only daughter in the family, I am responsible to help my parents to do the housechores. They never ask for my help but as an obedient child, I feel the urge to help since they have done many things to me and the most important part is, their doa is so powerful.
- Do some research: In the light of being a university student, not everything will be spoonfed by the lecturers. They are expecting us to be independent since all of us are above 18 and we have the mature thinking.
- Create a study group with friends: Due to the fact that everyone has different level of IQ, we should exchange our opinions. Also, when we organise a study group, it will be much easier because because there are several friends that will help. Studying with friends makes learning become fine because I think we will be less lonely and reduce the level of stress. Other than that, we can do brainstorming so we'll get the fresh ideas, not merely the lame one.
